On Wednesday 25th of August the 24 year old victim was in a stairwell in the multi-storey car park next to The Point, when a group of men approached him and tried to sell him cannabis.

When the victim challenged him, one of the men then attempted to steal his tobacco. The entire group then attacked him, punching him in his head and body.

When the victim attempted to leave, they stole his phone – at some point he was also threatened with a knife.

The group split up after the victim located his friends outside. He didn’t require hospital treatment.

The offenders have been described by police as a: “a group of black men. One of them was wearing a beige tracksuit and one was wearing a grey tracksuit. Some of the men were wearing gloves.

They also added that: “the man who produced the knife was wearing a shiny black jacket with red drawstrings and a hood. He also had braided hair.”
