In collaboration with the National Energy Foundation, MK Council have announced that they’ll be offering local people free training, including the installation of eco-friendly equipment.

The new programme, which has received £60,000 of council investment, will include:

“Training for up to 25 local tradespeople on how to gain TrustMark accreditation for the install of eco-friendly equipment such as insulation, double glazing and new heating systems

Online training for businesses looking to make the first step in developing an environmental policy, including an all-staff exercise to demonstrate how everyone can make a difference

Certification for up to ten people to give advice on the best way to make homes more energy efficient”

Deputy leader of MK Council, Cllr Robin Bradburn said: “We’re really proud to be working with the National Energy Foundation and want local tradespeople to come forward and learn new skills. Current and future policies will require very high standards when it comes to sustainable construction and this programme will equip people with the skills they need.”
