64-year-olds in Milton Keynes to be called for Covid vaccine this week

Monday 22 February 2021

64-year-olds will reportedly be the next group to be offered the Covid jab from this week.
Two thirds of 65- to 69-year-olds have already had their first dose and as a result now the rollout is being moved down to the next age group.

People who fall into this age category will receive a letter asking them to book a slot at a vaccination centre, whilst people aged 65 and over can book an appointment through the national booking service (http://bit.ly/3pJD7Ra).

Chief Executive of the NHS Sir Simon Stevens said: “The NHS COVID vaccination campaign continues full steam ahead – letters inviting everyone aged 65 to 69 went out a week ago, and already over two thirds of them have had their first COVID vaccination. Across England overall nearly a third of adults have now had their first jab, and early signs suggest this is contributing to the welcome fall in coronavirus hospitalisation that we’re now seeing.”
